Family Life to be the focus of 4:00 p.m. Worship and Small Group Study
Starting on Mother’s Day, May 11 and ending on Father’s Day, June 15, we will be discussing Family Life issues during the 4:00 p.m. worship service, and in small groups. During worship we will introduce and explore the topic by hearing scripture and then watching a short video that will focus us on the topic of the day. Then we’ll discuss the subject as a congregation, learning from each other. After the dinner that follows worship we will continue discussing the topic in a small group. Here are the topics:
May 18: We R a Generation: understanding how our teens think differently
May 25: Trust, earning or rebuilding it
June 1: One Word, how one word can build up, or tear down
June 8: Something Lost in Translation: Communication Skills for Couples
June 15: A salute to Dads, what children say about love
A nursery will be provided. We hope to see you there!
On Saturday, May 31st, we will host a concert by the Westminster Ringers in the sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. This professional ensemble has one of the largest collections of handbells and chimes in the area, and is made up of highly experienced ringers playing music for advanced choir. We hope you'll join us for this exciting evening! A free-will offering will be taken to defray their expenses.
